A graduate of Furman University with a BA in history, and  the University of Kansas with an MA and a PhD in Medieval History.  Since 2011, Mr. Jenkins has served as an Assistant Professor of History at the University of South Carolina  teaches courses in European Civilization, Islamic Civilization, the craft of historical research, Roman history, Medieval history, the Crusades, the Renaissance, and the Reformation. 

 

Growing up in Lancaster, and raised by educators, he was taught the importance of education, perseverance, and service. Mr. Jenkins is a member of the Lancaster County Society for Historical Preservation and the Lancaster County Council of the Arts.
