Healthy Community Grant
Information for Exploratory Meeting
The Exploratory Meeting is a face-to-face conversation between a current or potential partner(s) and a Community Investment Officer to explore opportunities for cooperation around a community need and a proposed project to address root causes. Utilizing the Take Action Cycle to guide our discussion on the current phase of the project (assessment, planning, prioritizing, implementation, evaluation and shared learning), the goals of the meeting are to determine the possible alignment with the Foundation’s mission and grant funding priorities; and provide feedback on the readiness to proceed to the Letter of Intent stage.
The Exploratory Meeting is not a decision-making space and seeks to educate and share information that is relevant for the grant seeker for their organizational development and outreach to other donors and supporters.
To optimize the Exploratory Meeting opportunity, it is highly recommended that the potential partner bring the following information:
Proposed project summary (half page)
Data / evidence that supports the project
Estimated project budget
List of funders and other supporters for the organization and project (committed, decision pending, to be requested)
Logic Model (if available)
